Since moving on from fund-raising for the Globe, The Friends' Musick has maintained a Shakespearean thread in some of its concerts.

In April 2001 the singers joined forces with the New Shakespeare Players to create The Bard`s Bash, dedicated to celebrating Shakespeare`s Birthday, at the Actors` Church, Covent Garden. They went on to develop further Bard`s Bash concerts in subsequent years.

In July 2008 The Friends' Musick presented Under the Greenwood Tree, a programme of songs from Shakespeare`s plays with readings from the Bard`s works by actor Mike Shannon.

In May 2009 the singers peformed  We Will All The Pleasures Prove  at Hall Place, Bexley, Kent, exploring delights and pleasures from the time of Shakespeare in song, music and words, with readings from the Bard and his contemporaries by actor Charles Neville, and music from the Friends` Recorder Consort. (All in period costume.)
