The Shakespeare Connection
In April 2001 The Friends` Musick joined forces with the New Shakespeare Players to create
The Bard`s Bash, dedicated to celebrating Shakespeare`s birthday, at the Actors` Church, Covent Garden. They went on to develop further Bard`s Bash concerts in subsequent years:

Costumed performances
Included among the Group’s numerous performances in period costume, the singers have also performed at festive events such as Spring Bank Holiday May Fayre, Tudor/Elizabethan Banquets and corporate events. A firm favourite is the ever-popular
Nine Lessons & Carols by Candlelight at the Actors’ Church, Covent Garden.
Non-costumed performances
Non-costumed appearances include Concert for Lent, Spring Concert, Celebration of St Cecilia - Patron Saint of Music, Under the Greenwood Tree and A Celebration of the 400th Anniversary of the King James Bible.
As performers of background music
The singers have provided unaccompanied background music for the production of a medieval morality play Everyman, performed in the Royal Naval College Chapel, Greenwich, and Disillusion, the world premiere production of a play about Henry VIII by Tom Masters, presented by The Matchbox Theatre.
